Don't be confused by the name- this bag is not made with deer hide that is red, but with hide from the New Zealand Red Stag. The Red Stag is most similar to the North American Elk, and makes leather that is as soft as deer hide, but slightly thicker and sturdier.

The handle is round braided with the same soft leather, making for a uniquely comfortable shoulder carry. The tassels coming off the strap can be left long or cut short, depending on your own personal style.
